What We Need:
We're seeking an experienced Executive Producer to manage news content.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage content.
  • Conceive and execute daily programs incorporating top news stories. This includes approval of rundowns, and management/ supervision of news staff.
  • Review daily line-up of stories and segments; develop future segments, stories and interviews for all platforms.
  • Oversee breaking news coverage when warranted.
  • Assist with the hiring and scheduling of news writers and correspondents.
  • In the absence of the supervisors, the position will be in charge of the newsroom.
  • Perform other newsroom editorial and supervisory duties as assigned.


What You'll Need:

  • Knowledge of all social media platforms and proper execution
  • Ability to generate original ideas, and to think creatively about how to communicate them to audiences; has comprehensive knowledge of subjects relevant to specific radio genres
  • Understanding of the radio market, different statin/program styles, audience demographics
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms, including News and Sports
  • Proven track record of motivating, coaching and leading a team
  • Full knowledge of the law, ethics and industry regulations around radio production; knows when it's necessary and how to acquire relevant clearances and licenses, including copyright and music clearances
  • Excellent IT skills, including data handling, audio editing and image manipulation software
  • Ability to build rapport and draw information from people
  • Confidence and tenacity when dealing with difficult decisions and/or issues
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to react quickly to changes
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Extensive experience as a Radio Producer
  • Four year college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
